"Stacey is a helper at heart!"
Wordsmith, Educator, Facilitator, Lifelong Learner.
Stacey was born with a passion for words and learning, but it wasn't until she started her teaching career that she realized the unlimited potential created by combining the two to create meaningful personal, emotional, and academic growth.
After graduating from UNCG as a NC Teaching Fellow, she immediately started teaching high school two months before her 21st birthday. Mrs. Whitlow went on to teach as a fellow at NCSU and as a full-time college instructor at Durham Technical Community College for well over a decade. In order to be closer to her children, she returned to NC public school hallways in 2015 as a full-time English teacher at their very school. She has been awarded teacher of the year at every major educational institution where she has been lucky enough to teach during her career (NCSU, DTCC, and RCS).
As her children moved on to newer adventures, Stacey decided to retool and venture out on her own as a social and emotional learning coach, a wordsmith, and a workshop facilitator.
Mrs. Whitlow also holds a Masters in Rhetoric and Composition from NC State University with a concentration in technical writing and usability testing along with various coaching/education/professional certifications. These achievements have allowed her to experience a variety of other professional experiences (including working as a consultant, personal assistant, office manager, personal organizer, professional and academic coach, editor, published writer, college admissions consultant, curriculum developer, presenter, usability consultant for various instructional technology companies, first line video editor, web site developer, personal assistant, wellness coach, facilitator, and artist).
In her free time, Stacey Whitlow likes to spend time with her wonderful husband, her two amazing children, and her adorable rescue pups. She travels the world whenever she gets the chance.
