"Stacey Whitlow is a helper at heart!"
She started her teaching career as a NC Teaching Fellow at UNC-Greensboro. After graduating, she immediately started teaching high school two months before her 21st birthday. Mrs. Whitlow taught as a fellow at NCSU and as a full-time instructor at Durham Technical Community College for a decade. In order to be closer to her children, she returned to NC public schools as a full-time English teacher five years ago. She has been awarded teacher of the year at every major educational institution where she has been lucky enough to teach (NCSU, DTCC, and RCS).
Mrs. Whitlow also holds a Masters in Rhetoric and Composition from NC State University with a concentration in technical writing and usability testing along with various coaching/education/professional certifications. These achievements have allowed her to experience a variety of other professional experiences (including working as a consultant, personal assistant, office manager, personal organizer, professional and academic coach, editor, published writer, college admissions consultant, curriculum developer, presenter, usability consultant for various instructional technology companies, first line video editor, web site developer, and household manager).
In her free time, Stacey Whitlow likes to spend time with her wonderful husband, her two amazing children, and her new adopted pound puppy. She travels the world whenever she gets the chance.
